Key update SPIRIT temporarily suspended applications for the 2025 to 2029 Support Program for Young Entrepreneurs and Women Entrepreneurs on November 3, 2025. The next window is expected in January 2026. High interest rates quickly deplete the annual budget, so timing is critical.
Why it matters to you The program offers EUR 9,000 in support for new micro and small businesses. The goal is simple. Increase survival rates, support growth and help young and women founders build sustainable businesses.
Key elements
Target group: entrepreneurs up to 29 years of age and women entrepreneurs of all ages.
Company age: the business must be less than 3 years old.
Total support: 9,000 EUR, paid in two parts.
Phase A: first 5 months of operations, support amount 4,500 EUR.
Phase B: next 5 months, support amount 4,500 EUR.
Training: Start Smart and Grow Up programs are mandatory.
Mentoring: 5 hours in Phase A and 8 hours in Phase B.
Employment requirement: the founder must be employed full time in the company.
Revenue growth: required for the second payment.
Funding logic The 9,000 EUR support covers the value of 10 minimal net salaries. You receive:
4,500 EUR after finishing Phase A.
4,500 EUR after finishing Phase B and showing revenue growth.
What to watch
Applications follow “first come, first served” logic.
If your application is complete before the pause, it will be processed.
If your company structure changes, you must keep 51 percent ownership and full time employment.
Only actual payments received count as revenue.
Subsidies, loans and donations do not count as revenue.
Who benefits The scheme targets micro, small and medium companies. The national budget for the program is 9.45 million EUR.
Timing The call is open until 30 November 2028 or until all funds are used. The next submission window is expected in January 2026.
