The next edition of Photonic Moments – Month of Photography festival will take place in June 2014 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The festival will (again) offer number of exhibitions and other events dedicated to the recent and historical developments of contemporary photography.

Zipped Worlds is the title of the central exhibition of the upcoming Photonic Moments 2014 festival. From a broader regional perspective the project deals with the phenomena of public photography.

One of the most significant exhibitions within the programme of the festival is distURBANces group show, a common project of EMoP (European Month of Photography) network, dedicated to the to question of today’s urban and landscape representation paradigm by focusing on the distortion and the perversion of reality in our globalized world.

There are several exhibitions to be shown in frames of the festival: the solo show of G.R.A.M. art collective (Photon Gallery), a group show titled Balkan Tale (Slovene Ethnographic Museum), extensive overview exhibition of Josef Koudelka (Jakopič Gallery), profound insight into history of Slovenian photography with the exhibition titled From Puhar to Marenčič in temporary exhibition space in Ljubljana. There are group exhibitions such as Fotomorgana (Kino Šiška) and Inside-Out (DLUL Gallery). There are also a number of solo exhibitions showing artists and photographers such as Bojan Salaj, Patricija Stepanović, Darije Petković, Nina Đurđević, Bojan Brecelj, Dik Bouwhuis, Ajda Schmidt, Zdzislaw Pacholski, Dušan Šarotar, etc.
