Ljubljana, 4 January (STA) – The benchmark SBI TOP index on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange closed at 671.45 points on Friday, up 2.82% over Thursday’s closing value. The winner of the day was insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav, which gained 4.63% to EUR 17.84. Total turnover on the bourse topped EUR 2.5m.

Following in terms of daily growth was retailer Mercator (+4.43% to EUR 212.5), bank NKBM (+4.35% to EUR 1.27), telco Telekom Slovenije (+2.06% to EUR 99) and energy company Petrol (+0.89% to EUR 245).

Generating the bulk of today’s volumes was pharma company Krka, which added 3.62% to EUR 53.88 on volumes in excess of EUR 1.1m.

Gorenje was the only SBI TOP company to end the day in the red. The home appliance maker shed 0.85% to EUR 3.96.

Outside the blue-chip index, logistics company Intereuropa gained 12.74% to EUR 0.70, reinsurer Pozavarovalnica Sava added 4.98% to EUR 7.8 and port operator Luka Koper added 2.75% to EUR 8.22.
