Ljubljana, 04 December (STA) – A ten-strong delegation from Georgia is visiting Slovenia this week. The delegation and its hosts from the Public Agency for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments (JAPTI) will exchange experience and best practice on national, regional and local level, and review investment opportunities in both countries.

The delegation, which was welcomed to Slovenia on Monday by JAPTI director Igor Plestenjak, will tour Slovenia’s regional development centres and agencies, tech parks and industrial zones.

Along with presentations, visits and talks, JAPTI and the Georgian national agency for promotion of investments will sign a cooperation memorandum. According to JAPTI, Georgia’s strategic location as a bridge between Europe and Asia offers many opportunities also to Slovenian companies.  Moreover, Georgia neighbours Russia and Azerbaijan, which are among the focal markets defined in Slovenia’s 2013 action plan.
