Ljubljana, 20 February (STA) – The SBI TOP blue chip index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange rebounded on Wednesday, as none of the major shares lost ground. The index gained 1.94% to 642.54 points on total daily volumes of EUR 1.3m.

The winner of the day was retailer Mercator, which added 3.29% to EUR 124, followed by the NKBM bank, which was up 2.45% to EUR 1.38, and energy company Petrol, which gained 1.98% to EUR 229.45.

The most coveted item was drug maker Krka (+1.94% to EUR 52.65), which accounted for almost EUR 440,000 of the turnover.

Telco Telekom Slovenije was up 1.75% to EUR 87 and insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav 0.58% to EUR 16.60, while household appliance maker Gorenje was flat at EUR 4.30.

Outside the index, port operator Luka Koper added 3.41% to EUR 8.79.
