Ljubljana, 27 February (STA) – The SBI TOP blue chip index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange broke a negative trend on Wednesday and gained 0.56% to 605.30 points. Trading was meagre.

NKBM bank added 4.45% to EUR 1.36 and telco Telekom Slovenije was up 3.11% to EUR 83.

Household appliance maker Gorenje gained 2.32% to EUR 4.02, insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav was up 2% to EUR 15.30 and energy company Petrol added 0.75% to EUR 207.55.

The most coveted item was drug maker Krka, which lost 1.33% to EUR 51.20 and accounted for some EUR 386,000 of the total daily volumes of EUR 681,000.

Krka was followed in turnover by retailer Mercator, which shed 0.04% to EUR 116.
